B.Sc. Nursing-GNM in Indian Army-Course 2011

Indian Army announced notification for recruitment of candidates for B.Sc. (Nursing) / General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course. The courses will commence during 2011 at various Armed Forces Hospitals. Only female candidates are eligible to apply. Applicants should have passed or appearing final year exams of 10+2 or Intermediate with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects. They must have secured at least 50 percent marks. B.Sc. Nursing is a 4 year course and will start from August 2011. Duration of training of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery is 3 1/2 years and the course will commence from September 2011.

Applicants date of birth should be between 01 August 1985 - 31 July 1993. Selection will be based on written test and medical fitness. Applicants will be invited for an objective type written test of 90 minutes duration. This test consist of General English, Biology and General Intelligence. Written test is likely to be held in January - February 2011. Questions in Biology and General Intelligence subjects will be bilingual. Those qualified in written examination will be called for interview during March - April 2011.

Last date for receipt of applications is 30 days from 10-09-2010 (Probable last date is 09-10-2010).
