General English Model Questions for APPSC, TSPSC Groups and Bank Recruitment Tests

English is considered one of the most difficult languages to learn. The transition from mother tongue to a foreign language is never fully complete. Many words and phrases in English are sometimes used incorrectly by non-native speakers because of the influence of mother tongue.

Incorrect / Wrong Sentences:

  1. It is me who drew the picture.
  2. If I were her, I would accept the proposal.
  3. We enjoyed at the party.
  4. You should avail the opportunity.
  5. Myself did all the work.
  6. Yourself and I may be asked to attend the function.
  7. We have to sort out the differences between you and I.
  8. She is teaching Bhavya and he.

Correct Sentences:

  1. It is I who drew the picture.
  2. If I were she, I would accept the proposal.
  3. We enjoyed ourselves at the party.
  4. You should avail yourself of the opportunity
  5. I myself did all the work.
  6. You and I may be asked to attend the function.
  7. We have to sort out the differences between you and me.
  8. She is teaching Bhavya and him.
