The GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) is likely to fill up as many as 300 civil engineers posts soon. The Government of Telangana has approved the vacancies. The GHMC would be appointing 300 engineering graduates and specific instructions were also issued to the GHMC. The recruitment notification will be issued soon as the process has to be completed by September 2017.
The decision has been taken by the Telangana Government to expedite the ongoing projects. The Government is spending about Rs 20000 crore for construction of double bedroom houses, skyways, River Musi development, laying roads and several other works.
The GHMC presently has engineering staff of about 480 personnel in various sections. They will be assisted by the newly appointed 300 engineers in executing different works.
After the appointment, the engineering graduates will be trained at National Academy of Construction (NAC). Most of the projects in the city have to be completed in an year hence the requirement of engineers.
