VRO- Village Revenue Officers Recruitment and other jobs in AP 2013 - Notification and Results Info

Updated on 28th December 2013:  Revenue Department,  Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced recruitment notification for the posts of VRO (Village Revenue Officers) and VRA (Village Revenue Assistants) in the state of AP.  Interested candidates have to apply online in the prescribed proforma through official website http://ccla.cgg.gov.in . There will be written test by APPSC for the selection of the candidates. More details such as pay scale, vacancies, roster points, reservations, selection procedure, model papers and questions and age limits are available below.

VRO and VRA Recruitment - Model Questions

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced notification details for the recruitment of VROs and VRAs in Andhra Pradesh. The Cabinet Sub-Committee headed by N.Raghuveera Reddy has announced the notification details. Written examination will be for 100 marks and questions will be in objective multiple choice type with four choices. Selection will be based on the marks in written exam only. Written exam consists of questions from General Studies and Village issues, Arithmetic and Logical Skills. Following are the important dates for the recruitment:

VRO and VRA Exam Pattern and Model Questions: Question paper will be for 100 marks. There will be objective multiple choice questions from General Knowledge (60 questions -60 marks. Out of these 60, 30 questions will be from issues related to villages.), Arithmetic (30 questions -30 marks) and Logical Reasoning (10 questions - 10 marks).

1) VRO (Village Revenue Officers): 1172 posts; Pay Scale : Rs. 7740 - 23040. Eligibility is pass in Intermediate in any group. Those selected for VRO posts can reside in any area of the concerned district. Age should be between 18-34 years. SC, ST and BC candidates will get 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.

2) VRA (Village Revenue Assistants) : 6063 posts; Pay Scale: Rs. 3000 Honorarium. Eligibility: Applicants should have passed in 10th Class / SSC. Local candidates only can apply for the concerned villages. Age: 18-35 years. relaxations apply as per the rules.

1) Issue of Supplementary Notification by District Collectors calling for applications (Common notification for VROs and VRAs): 09-01-2012
2) Last date of payment of Fee through online: 17-01-2012 (05:00 PM)
3) Last date for receipt of applications online: 18-01-2012 (05:00 PM)
4) Downloading of Hall tickets from Website: 27-01-2012 to 10-2-2012 (5:00 PM)
5)  Conduct of Written Test for VROs : 19-02-2012 FN (10 am to 12 Noon)
6) Written Test for VRAs: 19-02-2012 AN (3 pm to 5 pm)
7) Declaration of Results : 12-03-2012
8) Issue of Appointment Orders Collectors / Tahsildars: By 24-03-2012

Update on 22nd November 2011: It is decided by the government that objective written test will be conducted for VRO and VRA posts instead of interviews. There will be no weightage for intermediate and 10th class marks. Qualifications will remain the same as prescribed earlier. Written examination will be for 100 marks and questions will be in objective multiple choice type with four choices. The Govt. is yet to decide on modalities of written test. The APPSC or JNTU Hyderabad is likely to be given the responsibility of conducting test. Question paper pattern, exam structure, sections in the question paper and duration of the test will be updates here soon.

Update on 12th November 2011:
The Govt. of AP has finalised the educational qualifications required for VRO and VRA posts as prescribed by Cabinet Sub-Committee. For VRO jobs, candidates should have qualified in Intermediate. Pass in 10th class / SSC is the minimum qualification / eligibility for VRA posts. Mandal will be taken as a criteria for the selection of candidates. Gazette notification will be released on 15th November 2011 with all these details and recruitment notification may be announced in due course of time. The Government is yet to take decision on conducting interviews for these posts.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh is proposed to recruit candidates for Village Revenue Officer (VRO), Village Revenue Assistants (VRA) and other vacancies in AP Village Panchayat Services. There are huge number of vacancies in all the three government departments. Selection criteria for VRO posts consists of 1. Weightage for Intermediate Marks- 75 percent marks; 2. Age - 5 percent marks ; 3.Rural Background- 5 percent marks; 4. Interview by District collector- 10 percent marks. Following are brief details of posts, salaries, selection procedure and notification information.

1. Village Revenue Officers (VRO) : The Government of AP is likely to recruit candidates for 1564 Village Revenue Officers (VROs) posts in the pay scale of Rs. 7740 - 23040. Eligibility for these posts is pass in 10th Class. Selection of the candidates will be through written examination which mainly contains questions on general knowledge.

2. Vacancies in Village Panchayat Services: The Government of AP is contemplating to recruit 40000 candidates for various vacancies available in Andhra Pradesh Village Panchayat Services. Vacancies are available in the positions of Panchayat Development Officers, Junior Engineers, Accountants cum Data Entry Operators, Assistant Extension Officers etc. It is estimated that there are 250 vacancies in the Extension Officers posts. Eligibility: Graduation / Intermediate / SSC (based on the posts)

3. Village Revenue Assistants (VRA): 6063 vacancies; Eligibility is pass / appearance in 7th class. Salary: Rs. 3000. Male and female candidates eligible for VRA posts. Candidates failed in 7th class also can apply for VRA posts. Tahasildars will select the candidates based on the marks in marks in a qualifying examination.

There are various other recruitment notifications also waiting for the approvals from different government department in Andhra Pradesh. The official notifications for the above posts have not been released yet. We shall update the information as soon as after the release of recruitment notifications for above posts.

Latest Update on VRO and VRA Recruitment (2nd August 2011):

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has formed a sub- committee with a group of ministers under the chairmanship of N. Raghuveera Reddy to oversee the recruitment process of Village Revenue Officers and Village Revenue Assistants. The sub committee has decided to complete the recruitment process for all the 9000 vacant posts by the end of August 2011. They have also recommended Collectors and RDOs of all the districts in the state to speed up the recruitment process.

The sub committee has disclosed that the education qualification for the VRO posts will be pass in Intermediate Examination and the qualification for VRA posts will be SSC / Tenth Class. There will be no written examination for any posts. Selection of the candidates will be based on marks in the qualifying examinations (Inter / 10th Class). Reservations will be followed as per the rules. Weightage of 85 marks will be allotted for marks in the qualifying exam, reservation, local status and other standards. Remaining 15 marks will be for performance in interviews. The entire recruitment process will be conducted at the district level only and district collector will act as Chairman of the District Selection Committee. They will announce results and selection list also after the completion of the recruitment.
