APPSC Degree College Lecturers Recruitment Notification 2012

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has announced recruitment notification 2012 for the posts of Government Degree College Lecturers in Collegiate Education of Andhra Pradesh. The notification was released on 30th December 2011. There are 656 posts in various subjects. This is a Direct Recruitment. Application process for the Degree College Lectures will commence from 29th February 2012 and closes on 29th March 2012. Candidates have to pay the application and examination fee in any branch of SBI or AP Online centers. Written Examination will be held on 6th May 2012. Candidates must apply online through . Following are other details such as eligibility, selection, subject wise posts and qualifications and application procedure:

Vacancies and Qualifications: Degree Lecturers posts are available in the following subjects: English, Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Physics, Chemistry, Oriya, Arabic, Commerce, Public Administration, Bio-Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Political Science, Mathematics, Economics, History, Botany, Zoology, Statistics, Micro-Biology, Computer Applications, Computer Science, Geology and Home Science. Subject wise vacancies are given below:

1) Computer Applications: 73 posts

3) Economics: 28 posts
4) History: 19 posts
5) Botany: 33 posts
6) Mathematics: 24 posts
7) Biochemistry: 20 posts
8) Physics: 43 posts

Applicants must have qualified in UGC - NET / SLET for Degree Lecturer posts. Those having Ph.D. only will be exempted from NET / SLET. M.Phil. Degree holders in the concerned subject should also posses UGC - NET/ SLET. Details such as Subject wise vacancies, Zonal and community wise break up of vacancies are available on the APPSC website . Applicants age must be between 18-34 years as on the prescribed date. There will be separate question papers for each subject and the General Studies paper will remain same for all the candidates and subjects.

  1. Sir,
    Notification of 2008 age limit was 39 years, Why is it reduced to 34 years now. In teaching field more experienced people should be given a chance. Can the age limit be increased to 39 years. They are many people were eagarly waiting for this notification, but the limit has been reduced. Could you please give a chance by increasing the age limit. In teaching field there should not be any age limit.

    1. All the job aspirants, those who did not have jobs, those who are qualified can demand the government. The Kiran Kumar's government should increase the age limit of the Degree Lecturers....Ajatha Reddy.

  4. For Dsc exam age limit agreed upto 39 Years..For DL exam not increased..If it is increased to 39 Years many will get benifit.

  8. present, maximum limit is 34 years for general a candidate which is now increased to 36 years as per GOMs: No1-Gen.ADM (Ser.A) Department on Dt: 02-01-2012. We came to know that the EDUCATION (PE-SER.II) DEPARTMENT issued GO Ms: 4, Dt.09/01/2012 for the purpose of relaxation of age up to 39 years for filling up the posts D.S.C 2012 (Teachers recruitment).” According to the new rule, upper age limit for writing DSC is now 39 against the 36 years earlier GO Ms: 4, Dt.09/01/2012. What is the fate of Group-I,II,IV,DL,JL (Public Service Commission) Aspirants in this Government ? Why this Government has a slighter view on the Aspirants of Group-I, II, IV, DL, and JL service Exams”. We are made it clear to the government that we were not asking for employment, but only seeking to enhance the eligibility criteria to write these Competative Examinations.

  9. SLET is conducting to be before DL exam,but in filling application it is asking about NET/SLET score.Then what would be the benefit of conducting SLET exam before DL exams?

    whether the BTech and Mtech CSE eligible for DL then what about MCA and MSc (CS) as they are not eligible for Technical jobs?

  11. Is MSc in electronic science is eligible for DL for physics posts?

  12. Is M.Sc(It) eligible for degree lecturers under computer science and engineering conducted by APPSC
