APTET 2018 Revaluation, Fee and Dates

Update on 2nd February 2012:  The department of School Education is inviting applications from APTET candidates for Revaluation of the answer sheets. Candidates can apply for a photocopy of OMR answer sheet and Revaluation mentioning details such as Name, ID Number, Hall Ticket Number, Marks Memo, Address, Mobile Number along with a request for Revaluation. Fee for each paper is s. 500. This should be paid in the form of DD drawn on any nationalised bank. Last date for the receipt of applications / requests for Recounting is 8th February 2012. Application format and other info may be available on or . Candidates can obtain photocopy and check OMR Answer sheets of APTET through this process. It is yet to know whether Recounting facility is also there or not.

Earlier Info: There is so much confusion prevailed among the candidates recently appeared for AP TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) in Andhra Pradesh. There is no mention of Revaluation or Recounting procedures for APTET at the time of announcement of results. Candidates who have compared the expected marks and scores with the help of official key released by the Government were surprised after checking original score cards as there is so much variation in their expected and achieved scores. We may have to explore how other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Kerala etc are dealing with this issue.

Number of candidates are searching for the options of Recounting of Answer sheets and also like to go for revaluation for better scores. The Department of School Education is claiming that the results were announced only after the answer sheets were evaluated and examined by subject experts and other senior professors.

The Government has added 4 marks in Paper 1 after considering various complaints and observations from the APTET candidates. With the addition of these 4 marks, the number of qualified candidates in APTET raised to about 50 percent. The authorities also added 10 grace marks for Paper 2 (Maths and Science) and 8 grace marks for Paper 2 (Social Studies). Lets hope that the next APTET likely to be released in June - July 2012 will be held without any controversies.
