JNTUH - FET Faculty Eligibility Test 2012

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) has issued notification for Faculty Eligibility Test 2012 (FET - JNTUH 2012). Candidates those are interested to work as Faculty members in various colleges affiliated to JNTU Hyderabad should qualify in Faculty Eligibility Test 2012. The University (JNTUH) has already made it clear that Faculty Eligibility Test (FET) is a mandatory qualification for the aspiring faculty along with existing faculty and also for the faculty working as Assistant Professors but not ratified by the University.

Candidates who qualify in FET 2012 will be eligible for the appointment as Lecturer / Assistant Professor in the affiliated colleges of JNTU Hyderabad. Candidates qualified in JNTUH - FET are only considered as University approved faculty. The lecturer / assistant professor recruitment and appointments of the candidates without qualifying in FET-JNTUH is not approved by JNT University. Candidates who are appointed as faculty through University Selection Board will be exempted from FET. Those working in the levels of Associate professor or Professor and qualified in the UGC / CSIR National level Test NET or candidates with Ph.D. degree are exempted from taking JNTUH - FET examination.

Examination Scheme and Pattern: FET - JNTUH - 2011 will be held in 18 subjects / disciplines. The question paper of FET will have 120 objective type multiple choice questions. The question paper will include following parts and questions:

1) Part - I : 40 questions from General Ability, Aptitude and Analytical Skills topics
2) Part - II : 80 questions from concerned subject specialization.

Each correct answer will be given one mark and a wrong answer carry negative 1/4 mark. Duration of the test is 2 hours / 120 minutes. Qualifying marks for the FET is 40 percent marks for General / OBC candidates and 30 percent marks for SC/ST candidates.

Interested candidates should submit the application through online and send printed copy of of the application along with enclosures and a DD for the registration fee drawn in favour of 'Convener, FET - 2012' by post or in person. This could be a good initiative by JNTU Hyderabad in order to bring uniformity in the standards of teaching in its affiliated colleges.

1) Last date for submission of filled in application forms: 20th August 2012
2) Last date for application submission with late fee of 1000: 25th August 2012
3) Last date with late fee of Rs. 10000: 31st September 2012
4) Date of Examination: 2nd September 2012.
