The Government of Andhra Pradesh is proposed to change the recruitment process for the posts of police constables and sub inspectors. For the first time, the Police Recruitment Board will be introducing preliminary examination for police jobs in AP.
There will be preliminary written exam and physical measurement tests to be qualified for main exam. The 5 KM running race will be removed from the recruitment process.
The Government of AP has also decided to provide reservations for women candidates in Civil and AR wings of the police department. There will be 33.3 percent reservation for women candidates in Civil posts and 20 percent reservations in AR categories of police jobs.
Preliminary exam will have a question paper for 100 marks with multiple choice questions from Mathematics, Reasoning and General Studies topics. There will be physical measurement tests for those qualified in Preliminary test.
