Indian Navy Stewards, Chefs and Hygienists - October 2017 Batch

The Indian Navy invites applications from unmarried male candidates for enrollment as stewards, chefs and hygienists for MR / NMR - October 2017 Batch course commencing from October 2017.

Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have qualified in Matriculation (10th) class for MR and VIth class for NMR entry. Age should be between 17 to 21 years as on 1 October 2017 (should have born between 1 October 1996 and 30 September 2000.

Training and Stipend:

During the training period, a stipend of Rs. 5700 per month will be admissible. On completion of initial training, they will be placed in the Pay Band Rs 5200-20200.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates is based on the order of merit on their performance in written examination, qualifying physical fitness test (PFT) and fitness in medical examinations.

Nature of Written Test:

The question paper will be bilingual (Hindi and English) and objective type only. The written exam question paper for Stewards and Chefs will comprise of four sections i.e. English, Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge and will be of one hour duration.

The written test question paper for Hygienist will comprise of two Sections i.e. General Awareness and Arithmetic and will be of 45 minutes duration. The syllabus for the written examination is available on website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in .
