Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued recruitment notification for the posts of Scientific Assistants through India Mateorological Department Examination 2017. The computer based examination will be held on 20th November to 27th November 2017.
Total Vacancies: 1102 posts
Pay Scale: Level 6 of the Pay Matrix (Pay Band 2 (Rs.9300-34800) plus Grade Pay Rs.4200 in pre-revised scale).
Age Limite: Not exceeding 30 years as on 04/08/2024
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (3 years duration) in Science (with Physics as one of the subject)/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Applications OR Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institution/University or equivalent.
The qualifying Degree or diploma referred above should be in First Class (60% marks) or 6.75 CGPA on a 10 point scale. The applicant must have passed 10+2 Examination from a Recognized Board or equivalent in Science with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects.
Scheme of Examination:
The examination would comprise 200 questions carrying 200 marks for two hours duration. The question paper would have two parts, Part - I and Part - II.
Part-I: Computer based Examination
(i) General Intelligence and Reasoning
(ii) Quantitative Aptitude
(iii) English language and Comprehension
(iv) General Awareness
Part-II: Computer based Examination
Physics, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
