1061 Professors Posts in Universities in Telangana - 2017
The Government of Telangana is proposed to announce recruitment of 1061 teaching vacancies in the positions of assistant professors, associate professors and professors. There are 11 state universities in Telangana and vacancies are available in all the universities.
The Government is likely to entrust the responsibility of filling these vacancies to respective universities. Earlier it was proposed that the single recruitment examination for all the universities will be conducted by TSPSC.
Vacancies are there in 52 departments. It will be a tough task for TSPSC to conduct exam in these many subjects in one go. Hence the Government is rethinking on this proposal and may tilt towards universities to fill the vacancies.
Decision on the screening test will be taken based on the number of applications received by the universities / departments concerned. The vacancies will be filled during this academic year (2017-18).
