The APPSC has released Group 1 preliminary key / primary key on 7th May 2017. The key has been released on the same day of examination.
The candidates can send their objections through APPSC website only. The main examinations for prelims qualified candidates will be held from 17th August to 27th August 2017. Candidates will be selected for main examinations in the ratio of 1:50.
The APPSC has introduced mention of candidates name, hall ticket number and other information on the OMR answer sheets. Only 59 percent of the candidates have appeared for the preliminary exam.
About 94000 candidates have applied for APPSC Group 1 exam. Out of these, about 55000 candidates only turned out for the examination held on 7th May 2017.

APPSC Group 1 Recruitment Notification - Last Date to Apply is 30 January 2024
APPSC has announced Group 1 recruitment notification with 78 posts in various categories. Applications are invited On-line for recruitment to the posts of Group -I Services. The proforma application will be available on APPSC website (www.psc.ap.gov.in) from 31 December 2023 to 30 January 2017.
Before applying for the post, an applicant shall register his/her bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission Website viz., www.psc.ap.gov.in .
Once applicant registers his/her particulars, a User ID is generated and sent to his / her registered mobile number and email ID. Applicants need to apply for the post using the OTPR User ID through Commission’s website.

APPSC 2011 Group 1 Main Re-Exam from 6 - 17 September 2024
The APPSC has announced schedule for Group 1 Main examinations for the 2011 appeared candidates in the wake of Supreme Court judgement recently. The APPSC Group 1 Main exams will be held from 6th September to 17 September 2016.
The Supreme Court has ordered to conduct the Main exam within three months as there were mistakes in the preliminary examination. Following is the schedule:

The Andhra Pradesh Government has released new syllabus for Group 1, Group 2 and Group 4 recruitments to be taken up in 2016 - 2017. The revision of syllabus and request for public comments has been displayed on the APPSC website at www.apspsc.gov.in . The new syllabus for Group 1, Group - II, and Group IV is available on the website.
In Group 1, syllabus has been changed in various papers. There is no changes in General Studies paper. The APPSC has also introduced General English section of 10th class standard which is qualifying in nature.
For Group II, syllabus has been revised in various papers. Sections related to the history, economy, polity and geography of Andhra Pradesh have been revised with new chapters and topics.
For Group 4 recruitment, the syllabus has been revised with topics including latest developments in Andhra Pradesh economy, geography, polity and history. There will be English section of 8th and 9th class standard. For more details, see www.apspsc.gov.in .

TSPSC Group 1 Mains Syllabus Details, Topics and Marks - 2015
TSPSC (Telangana State Public Service Commission) has released the new structure and syllabus for the Group 1 recruitment Main Exam. The TSPSC is expected to release the notification very soon and the new syllabus and papers as mentioned below will be followed for this exam. The Main exam will have 6 papers as previous exams had only 5 papers. The new Paper 6 is devoted to Telangana Movement and State Formation. Here is the detailed structure of papers and syllabus:

TSPSC Group - 1 Paper 6 Syllabus and Analysis
Telangana state public service commission ( TSPSC ) has released the new examination structure and syllabus for the Group-1 recruitment for which notification will be issued soon.
The TSPSC has introduced a new paper in the Group - 1 recruitment examination. The Paper-6 of the examination is completely devoted to the Telangana movement and state formation.
Following are the topics covered in this paper:
1) The idea of Telangana: 1948-1970
2) Mobilisation of people in Telangana: 1971-1990
3) Telangana movement and state formation: 1991-2014.
These topics broadly cover the developments in Telangana in the post independence period. The questions will be from the areas of Telangana armed struggle, various social, cultural and political movements in Telangana and final phase of the movement after 1991 to TRS formation, Contribution of KCR and state formation in 2014.
TSPSC Group - 1 Prelims and Mains Exam Structure and new syllabus 2015
Telangana state public service commission (TSPSC) has announced the new exam structure and scheme for the Group-1 recruitment for which the notifications will be issued very soon. 20 kinds of posts are included in the Group-1 services. Following is the latest exam structure and syllabus for the Group-1 recruitment in Telangana.
Preliminary examination:
There will be a single question paper for this exam with 150 questions for 150 marks. The questions will be from general studies and mental ability. Duration of the exam is 150 minutes.
Main examination:
This will include written examinations and personal interviews. There will be 6 papers in the written examinations. These are as follows :
Paper 1 : General Essay
Paper 2: History, Culture and Geography
Paper 3: Indian society, constitution and governance.
Paper 4: Economy and development
Paper 5: Science and technology and data interpretation.
Paper 6: Telangana movement and state formation.
Personal Interview : 100 marks.
In all the papers, there will be special reference to Telangana state. The geography, history and culture of the Telangana will be emphasised in concerned papers.
TSPSC Group - 1 Posts and Categories in Telangana
Following are the new categories of posts and grades in Group - 1 recruitment to be taken up by the TSPSC (Telangana State Public Service Commission). The posts include Deputy Collectors, ACTOs, MPDOs, Municipal Commissioners etc.

TSPSC Group 1 Recruitment - Changes in General Studies Syllabus 2015
The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), Hyderabad is likely to release Group 1 recruitment notification for about 300 vacancies in various departments. The Group - 1 vacancies will be in the categories of Deputy Collectors, RDOs, DTOs, DSP etc. Expected vacancies are 300. Lakhs of candidates from Telangana are waiting eagerly for this notification from TSPSC.
The TSPSC is mulling to change the recruitment process and syllabus for various recruitments including Group -1 vacancies. The upper age limit also will be increased considerably.
Changes in General Studies Syllabus: The TSPSC may change the syllabus of General Studies paper for various recruitments. In History, Telangana history will be focused with importance to Satavahanas, Inkshvakas, Kakatiyas, Kutub Shahis, Asaf Jahees, Nizams, Chalukyas, Rashtrakutas etc. There will be a chapter on Telangana statehood
movement.
In Economy and Geography also, there will be considerable changes in syllabus. Priority will be given to Telangana geography including rivers, development policies of Telangana Government, Crop system, agriculture, irrigation, temples, tourism in Telangana.

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC - http://www.tspsc.gov.in/ ), Hyderabad is gearing up to release various recruitment notifications on the occassion of the Telangana Formation Day on 2nd June 2015. The important notifications that are expected from TSPSC are Group 1, Group 2 and various other recruitment advertisements.
Apart from Group 1 and Group 2, the notifications for Junior Lecturers (JL), Degree College lecturers (DL), Junior Engineers, Group 4 cadre recruitment notifications also will be expected from TSPSC, Hyderabad.
The TSPSC has launched the website at www.tspsc.gov.in. The candidates need to complete one time registration process to apply for any job recruitment notifications announced by the TSPSC.

Reexam for APPSC Group-1 Mains 2011
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is expected to conduct re-examination for APPSC Group 1 Mains for the candidates who have qualified prelims in 2011. The main exam will be conducted as per the orders of the Supreme Court of India.
The APPSC has conducted the Group 1 Main exam in 2011 as per the key published by the commission. Several candidates have appealed in the Tribunal on the mistakes in the key.
The case has been argued at High Court and Supreme Court. And the Apex Court has ordered the APPSC to cancel the Main exam and conduct it with revised merit list after correcting the errors in key.
APPSC and TSPSC have to respond to the Court decision. The APPSC has filed curative petition in the Court to conduct Main exam for 300 additional candidates who have become eligible for Mains after revision of key. The APPSC has also asked the court to review the orders on Group 2 (1999).

TSPSC Group 1 Syllabus Changes - 6th Paper on Telangana Movement - 2015
The Prof. G. Haragopal Committee has submitted its report on the proposed changes in TSPSC recruitments for Group 1, Group 2 and various other posts to be filled in Telangana state. The committee has suggested to introduce 6th Paper in Group 1 recruitment which will be exclusively on Telangana Movement. Haragopal Committee also suggested to cut down weightage for Science and Technology and Statistics papers and club them as 5th Paper. Following is the new pattern of Group 1 examination:
Paper 1: General Essay - 150 marks
Paper 2: History - 150 marks
Paper 3: Economy - 150 marks
Paper 4: Politics and Geography - 150 marks
Paper 5: Science and Technology and Statistics / Arithmetic - 150 marks
Paper 6 (New): Telangana Movement - 150 marks
Interview: 100 Marks.
With these changes, the total marks for Group 1 main exam will be 1000 including interview. At present total marks for Group 1 main exam are 825 (750 written + 75 interview). The Telangana Movement paper may include topics from Mulki rules in 1912 to Telangana statehood movement in 2014.

The Telangana State government is likely to fill group 1 vacancies in various departments. The notification will be released by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) in the months of December 2014 or January 2015. Following are details of available vacancies in Group 1 category:

2) Divisional Panchayat Officers: 2 posts
3) Asst. Prohibition and Excise Superintendent: 6 posts
4) Administrative Officer: 19 posts
5) MPDO: 114 posts
6) Assistant Audit Officers: 32 posts
The Government may announce notifications after the formation of TSPSC (Telangana State Public Service Commission). This may take time as constitutional formalities have to be fulfilled while seting up TSPSC.
